STEP 1.
Work in a ventilated room; do not work near flames. Clean surfaces; remove any debris from counter top areas. Tape and cover all areas, including floor and cabinets, to protect from any spillage. STEP 8.
Blend the top coat material as instructed per: “COLORED PRIME & BASE COAT MIXING INSTRUCTIONS”

STEP 2.
Sand the surface and sides with the supplied sanding paper. Wipe clean with rags to remove any sanding dust and debris. Fill fine cracks with Epoxy-Coat Acrylic Latex Caulk. Do NOT use silicone caulk. STEP 9.
Using the supplied squeegee spread the top coating material evenly over the counter area.

STEP 3.
Blend the base coat material as instructed per: “COLORED PRIME COAT MIXING INSTRUCTIONS” STEP 10.
Using the second supplied 4″ roller, roll out the top coating material evenly over the counter area and the outer perimeter if desired. Do not over roll, this can create bubbles.

STEP 4.
Using the supplied squeegee, spread the base coating material evenly over the counter to cover entire area, including sides. Clean the squeegee will with a rag and xylene, as you will need it in step 9: DO NOT SOAK IN QYLENE. THIS WILL DESTROY THE SQUEEGEE. STEP 11.
After 24 hours, lightly sand surface. Wipe clean with rags to remove any sanding dust or debris. Blend the top coat material as instructed per: “TOP COAT MIXING INSTRUCTIONS”.

STEP 5.
Using the supplied 4″ roller, roll out the base coating material evenly over the counter to entire area, including the outer perimeter edges. STEP 12.
Using the supplied squeegee spread the top coating material evenly over the counter area.

STEP 6.
After the entire base coat has been applied evenly, apply the decorative flake chips in small amounts onto the counter top. Apply the flake evenly, assuring even coverage. STEP 13.
Using the third supplied 4″ roller, roll out the top coating material evenly over the counter to area and the outer perimeter if desired. Do not over roll, this can create bubbles.

STEP 7.
After 24 hours the excess flakes can be removed and remaining flake sanded to remove any high or excessive flake to create a smooth surface.  

COLOR PRIMER COAT & BASE COAT MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:     Rinse and dry the kit bucket with a clean rag prior to mixing. Install the supplied mixing tool into a high-speed drill motor. Pour 1 part Colored Prim Coat Part “B” (8 oz.) and 2 parts of Base Coat Part “A” (16 oz.) using the supplied measuring cup, then add Part “C” colorant to this mixture. Follow the guidelines for recommended mixing and coverage on the measuring cup.*    NOTE: Measuring cup must be cleaned after each use.    Base Coat: Same as above, but with no Part “C” added.    Mix thoroughly with the mixing tool for 3 minutes, paying close attention to the bucket sides and raising and lowering of the mixing tools.    Immediately poor all mixed contents in a line on the counter top. After mixing, you have up to 20 minutes of working time at 70 Degrees F (lower working time at higher temperature).    Mixing must be very thorough (3 minutes) or the coating will not cure of clean up. Removal of the uncured epoxy will be costly and very time consuming.

TOP COAT MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Stir “A” & “B” in cans, then mix 1 PART “A” and 1 PART “B” (1:1 ratio by volume).
